Sheesh... it's ugly out there.

Not only are the public cannabis companies behaving incredibly unscrupulously, apparently the Canadian regulators have all but abandoned their posts, allowing the cannabis companies to monitor themselves.

"Former inspectors say ‘overwhelmed’ regulator left increasingly dependent upon information supplied ‘in good faith’ by producers."

This is outrageous on many levels... especially when considering the fact that investors all across the globe, are investing in these companies, and expecting the Canadian regulators to ensure compliance.

Similarly, how much money are the CSE and TSX making off the many public cannabis companies being traded on their exchanges? What level of responsibility/complicity do these exchanges have to ensure that no fraud is being perpetrated by those which they allow to remain listed on their exchanges?

Where does the buck stop? Is anyone going to pick up the tab?
